Location of the Ventry Holiday Home

Situated in the heart of West Kerry, Ventry is just 4 miles (7 km) west of Dingle. An area of unspoilt beauty, it is now one of Ireland’s most popular tourist spots. The Dingle peninsula is the most westerly peninsula in Europe and hosts one of the country’s most magnificent landscapes and coastlines.  Ventry boasts one of the greatest beaches, which stretches for miles along the wild Atlantic Ocean.

Ard na Carraige is just a 2 minute walk from Ventry Village where you will find a shop, post office, bar and restaurant.  Just a few miles west of Ventry lies the most westerly point in Europe. This can be reached by following the Slea Head way where you travel further into the Gaeltacht region where the Irish language is still widely spoken in villages such as Ballyferriter and Dunquin. As you travel west look out for the spectacular Blasket Islands and ‘sleeping giant’ in the Atlantic Ocean. The area is dominated  by is Ireland's second biggest mountain Mount Brandon which is named after the Patron Saint of Kerry Saint Brendan who is said to have reached America before Columbus.
